Our History
The Foundation was established by the 2nd and 3rd generation members of the family to continue the charity and benevolence works, which were the most important ideal of the philanthropist businessman Hacı Mehmet Ali Eruslu who passed away in 1993, in a corporate structure and without interruption. Today, the Eruslu family, which generates significant added value and employment for the Turkish economy with its independent companies operating in strategic sectors such as plastics, chemical, textile, and health products, finances all the projects of the foundation entirely with their own equity resources.
Attracting attention with the works and projects it has implemented in many regions of Gaziantep, the Mehmet Ali Eruslu Education, Health, and Culture Foundation successfully keeps alive the culture of "endowment" (vakfetme)—one of the most important elements sustaining the Turkish-Islamic civilization—in the modern era. Adopting the principle of serving all segments of society, not just a specific group, the institution has built and offered to the public service numerous educational buildings, healthcare facilities, masjids, and mosques.
